We met Ro at the Tibetan Terrier booth at Meet the Breeds a few months before we got our first TT puppy. Not being the easiest of breeds to train, we knew we were going to need help and she was one of the first people we called when Paige arrived.
Ro’s knowledge of Tibetan Terriers really made a difference to those first days. She recognized many of Paige’s quirky behaviors as typical to TTs so we could manage things easier. She worked with us to lay the foundations for training right away and got us through those early puppy days relatively unscathed. Ro made it very clear that we would have to put in the work, and we were very happy when she gave us next stage commands early. Paige picked up on things really quickly and the techniques Ro gave us were easy to learn and follow through on.
Our work with her made going to group classes very successful, something a lot of young TTs have a hard time with. Now Paige is 2.5 years old and the skills that Ro taught continue to help us daily. With the foundation Ro created Paige now enjoys agility and rally classes and is a perfect companion.
We feel very lucky to have met Ro and appreciate that she keeps in touch and is there if we ever need help. She cares about her students and treats each one like the special individual they are.

Teddy
We cannot say enough good things about Ro! We reached out to Ro as nervous, new dog parents a few weeks after we adopted our bulldog-boxer mix, Teddy. We knew that he was a sweet guy, but was a former stray who had no experience walking on a leash. We were struggling to feel confident, especially as he overpowered us on his walks.
It’s not a stretch to say that Ro completely changed our lives. She knew exactly how to work with us not only to get Ted to walk on a leash but to listen and trust us more. She helped us train Teddy on all the basic commands and some fun tricks, too. She correctly identified his chicken allergy, when we had no idea that was an issue and helped us get set up with all the right gear. Most importantly, Ro only uses positive behavior methods which was important to us. She helped us created a calm, loving home environment and a trusting bond with our guy - even in the midst of serious dog training.
All of our friends and family have commented on what a gentle, sweet boy Teddy is and we know that it would not have been possible without the structures and habits we developed with Ro.
Working with Ro is the best thing you can do for your family!

We adopted Darla in March of 2021 and not long after contacted Ro to help us with our sweet but large and strong puppy!
Ro taught us how to help our new family member become the good dog she is today through positive reinforcement training techniques and reward-based methods.
We are so satisfied with the results. Our now 10 month old puppy is happy, well adjusted, friendly and most importantly, not dragging us down the street!
She is a smart and curious dog and Ro helped us foster her curiosity with games and play that not only engaged our girl but tired her out!
I highly recommend Ro, save your sanity and call this professional trainer stat! You will be so thankful you did…

Ro came highly recommended through a neighborhood Facebook group. We were waiting the arrival of our new puppy. We never had a dog before as a family and my husband was NOT a dog person.
Ro worked with us to help us prepare our home to welcome him. She was very knowledgeable about our puppy's breed and let us know what to expect. Ro also worked with my 3 son's so they were able to take care and enjoy our puppy. We continued with the early puppy training lessons and she was always patient and very loving and nurturing. She was always available to answer any questions we had and she truly loves her calling.

We got Elle, our Australian Cattle Dog mix rescue when she was about 4 months old. At first she did okay with the noise and activity in Brooklyn. But after around a year with us she started being very anxious and was afraid to go outside. Noise from cars and trucks on the Belt Parkway or planes overhead on approach to JFK would have her pulling to get back to the safety of her home.
After some searching, we found Ro on Facebook, and after seeing other glowing reviews we reached out to her. After our first meeting, she explained everything thoroughly, and gave us training techniques that helped us to make Elle feel safer and tolerate the noise somewhat better.
Ro's attention and patience when teaching you how to behave and assist your dog is amazing, and she is always there if you have a question or need advice. Ro truly cares about each and every dog as if they were her own. She goes above and beyond, making us all feel like family. We highly recommend Ro to anyone who has a dog of any age or breed!Valerie & Justin

It was important for us to find a trainer that not only worked with our puppy, but encouraged (and required) us as new dog-owners to be apart of the process as well. We’re fortunate to have found that with Ro.
She has so much knowledge on the history and temperament of the Tibetan Terrier breed and was patient, professional, and diligent in her training. We see a noticeable difference between Meeka’s behavior around other animals and people in comparison to other dogs and we have Ro to thank. She truly cares about each client, both dog and owner, and continues to offer support even after graduation. Thank you Ro!

When I first adopted Lola and Louie, it was my first time adopting two puppies at once and they were quite a handful with all their puppy energy!
Thanks to Ro’s positive reinforcement methods and techniques, I was able to successfully provide them with the training and structure needed so they can grow into two well-adjusted and well behaved members of our household. Whether it was obedience training, games and exercise ideas to wear off their puppy energy, tips and advice on how to manage the dynamic between two puppies in the same household – I know my puppies are now truly settled in to our family and happier for it.
Ro is a professional and always makes herself available for questions and concerns you have beyond the training sessions, which shows how seriously she takes making sure you have all the tools to work with your pet and ensuring success. Thank you Ro.

VegasWhen we moved to New York from Seattle, we had everything arranged, organized, and under control...except for our dog, Vegas. Vegas was used to having a yard to play in, got a walk every day for 20 minutes, and had a huge house and deck to move around in. We moved to New York and on our first walk with Vegas on a leash in the busy, noisy city, he went on the attack. He would try to attack other dogs on leashes, luggage on wheels, carts and baby strollers. Anything that was being pulled - he wanted to attack. Our first reaction was to try to keep him as confined as possible on the street, try to avoid anything with a tail or wheels, and would run him in and out quickly to avoid any conflict. After several weeks of being scared to take him out, we knew we had to do something. We got connected to Ro.Ro came over to our apartment, listened to what was happening, and immediately let us know everything we were doing wrong and how she was going to assist us in working with Vegas. After going on a walk with us, Ro explained that Vegas was actually scared of anything he saw being pulled or walked and was generally overwhelmed by the craziness of the city. He was also being very protective of us. Vegas is very treat driven, so Ro recommended using treats and rewarding Vegas for the GOOD behavior. She guided us on our energy and the effect that our energy can have on Vegas. She even said sing - so we would actually sing to make light of the walk and this removed our fear of walking. Now a couple of months later and our Vegas boy has learned to sit and wait for the other dog to pass or we just walk past the other dogs, and anything with wheels, without incident. We are so GRATEFUL for Ro, her guidance, care and passion that helped us to have a more harmonious life with Vegas in the Big City.Mark and GabrielManhattan, NY

Bane 1January 1, 2013 I decided to get a four week old pure breed blue nose pitbull, who I named Bane. June 5, 2013 I gave birth to my daughter. Within a few short months, between a newborn and a puppy, I really had my hands full. Although Bane was a fantastic dog, he wouldn’t listen to a command for the life of him. I called upon Ro for some serious assistance. From the second she walked through my door, Bane was a different animal. With a few training sessions, some minor alterations at home and dedication, Bane is even more wonderful than before. I definitely couldn’t have done it without Ro.Heather J.Brooklyn, NY

Baxter 3Ro has been working with my 2 year old shelter dog, Baxter, for a relatively short time and the difference in him is already amazing. Baxter came into our home with a number of issues – the worst being anxiety and aggressive behavior. He was very protective of both me and my teenage son and that made in home socializing difficult, if not impossible. He was in the habit of nipping at people frequently, mostly, but notlimited to, all male visitors.Ro began working with Baxter outside our home, and waited for him to be comfortable around her before coming inside. Oh, but once inside......her approach to training is firm but fun.....lots of rewards and some treats for Baxter and lots of praise for me and my son. Baxter has gone from being anxious and afraid to being confident and happy. I swear he smiles all the time.....and so do we. We are enjoying training Baxter alongside Ro, but especially enjoy seeing the results in between training sessions. We know Baxter's issues are not a quick fix, but with the help we are getting we now see the light at the end of the tunnel. With Ro's encouragement we work diligently with Baxter for at least 10 minutes each day, and I can proudly say we are well on our way to having an almost perfect pup on our hands. Thanks Ro!Janice and JustinBrooklyn, NY

Basil Peanut 2After having one puppy for 3 years, I decided that she needed a friend. I also assumed that having and training a second dog would be exactly like training my first puppy. Within days after having a second puppy, I realized that I needed help. I couldn't even figure out how to walk two dogs at the same time!A neighbor suggested that I contact the trainer she used for her puppy, Ro. After having used a variety of trainers for my first dog, Basil - I was quite impressed by how quickly Basil and Peanut Butter responded to Ro. Each session began with my list of challenges and her suggestions at how best to work on them. Her attention to detail and ability to work with both dogs at the same time was wonderful.Ro's suggestions for how to deal with my older dog's jealousy were very helpful. I never felt rushed and I always felt listened to. Ro customized her training to fit my needs. I am very thankful that I can now walk, play, and function with 2 loving puppies!Dina R.Brooklyn, NY

Bentley 4We adopted Bentley, a Yellow Labrador mix, through Pack Leader Dog Rescue of Connecticut. He settled into our family seamlessly. We worked hard to teach him the basics of doggie manners, as we knew of what reputations Yellow Labs could uphold! As he was growing fast and always quick to greet anyone on the street; it became increasingly clear that we needed to find a better resource of training – particularly that of leash training and basic obedience – and were recommended Ro, through Vinny’s Pet Shop. This was, by far, one of the best things we’ve done for Bentley and ourselves. Ro was able to connect with Bentley and us – showing us all that with proper training, our hyper pup could be transformed into a little gentleman. We were amazed at how easy Ro made training (with the encouragement of treats), especially as Bentley was amidst his terrible teens. Looking forward to our weekend sessions, we found Ro had unlimitedpatience for Bentley (and ourselves, for that matter) and endless amounts of tips and tricks. We couldn’t have done it without Ro – a wonderful trainer who uses respect and care to work with your animal.Jen, Stu, and BentleyBrooklyn, NY

Buster 79Our American Mastiff puppy, Buster, is going to be a big boy and will grow quite large in a short period of time. We wanted to have a safe environment for our kids and a well behaved dog.Ro worked with all of us, but, more importantly, gave our kids an education about our dog's behavior and what they can do to be safe and have fun while teaching him. Thanks to Ro, Buster now fits right in with our family.Ralph PStaten Island, NY

Cooky Bruno 7I have 2 puppies - Cooky & Bruno. One is a pure breed Staffordshire bull terrier and the other a Staffordshire bull terrier cross.Ro & I are old friends from Brooklyn and I now live in the UK. I knew, due to their breeds, that Bruno would be a big boy & Cooky would be feisty. I also knew that I needed some help.I reached out to Ro via the internet as the kids were becoming a handful due to their ages being so close together. Ro explained things so clearly that I got absolutely amazing results & my "problematic" pups are now incredibly well behaved. I honestly don't think I could have done it without her help.Thank you Ro.Amanda & AdamBirmingham, UK

Diggy 8If you're a new dog owner full of questions and confusion, Ro is the person to go to.Our newly adopted rescue dog suffered from pretty serious anxiety. Needless to say this resulted in alot of barking and peeing in the house when we left him alone. Ro helped us work with Diggy to reduce his anxiety and assure him that we would be his forever home.During our very first meeting with Ro, she was able to get Diggy to "sit," "lay down," and even "dance." And after only a short time, we were able to get Diggy to stop barking when we left.Ro really understands dogs -- it is as if she can get inside the dog's head and read his mind. We highly recommend her.Debbie ZManhattan, NY

Dukie 9We began working with Ro after we adopted Dukie from the pound. We knew we needed guidance! Dukie was cute as a button, BUT you could tell he was an ‘alpha’ dog and he would be big (he’s a lab/shepherd mix). Our fear was an uncontrollable ‘hound from hell’.Ro was referred to us by friends and was a blessing from the start. Her approach was firm, yet kind. She teaches holistically, including the family in all instruction. Her patient and methodical approach left us all feeling more confident and capable pet owners. We have an older dog (Irish, a 9 year old husky) and Ro included her in all the trainings. We moved a month into training and again Ro jumped in to help out ... giving advice, extra needed training sessions, and most importantly, encouragement and support. We consider Ro not only our dog trainer, but a friend. We are looking forward to having her come for an extended follow-up visit.Anne Chavarro and Family

Hayley 10Ro transformed my puppy Hayley into an improved dog. She was very supportive andknowledgeable. She gave unlimited dog advice in addition to the training. She was always available for questions or advice. She continuously arrived at appointments promptly. Each session was very effective and enjoyable. I assumed puppy training was going to be boring, but I was mistaken. Better yet, she didn’t just train my puppy, she trained my family and I to be better dog owners. I believe this will pay off in the future. She absolutely cares and loves dogs and that is essential. After these training sessions, you will never look at training the same way again.Anthony C.Brooklyn, NY

Henry 11We adopted Henry, a four-month old shepherd mix, from the North-Shore Animal League in October 2012. As first time dog owners, we were initially overwhelmed by Henry’s mischievous nature and knew we had to find a way to train him so he would not become destructive.A few weeks later, while walking Henry in our local park, we met Ro and Dori. She saw us struggling with Henry and offered advice on how to correct some of his behavior – and it worked immediately! Ro started working with Henry and us over the next few weeks. From the outset, Ro assured us that Henry was a really cool dog and we just needed to channel his energy in a positive way and make him part of the family. In addition to teaching us the basic dog commands, Ro also assessed each family member’s interaction with Henry and offered constructive advice on correcting our behavior. After applying Ro’s methods on a daily basis, the results have been remarkable. Henry became the most loveable dog in the world! We look forward to working with Ro on the next training phase.Ro, thank you so much for your time, patience and support.Bob, Birgit and CatieBay Ridge, Brooklyn

Hilly Billy 12Dear Ro,Frankly, when you came that first day to train me, I was not surprised. You had been there when my family picked me from the shelter; and I am told you were involved in planning and facilitating the whole thing from the beginning. You petted me the whole way home from petco. I have to admit, I needed some training. I was pretty wild, and I am proud of it. When my family set up my doggie pen, I was able to escape out of it twice and never went back in. Another reason you needed to come was because during the early weeks, my family was clueless how to interact with me,especially their son, who in my mind is like a puppy. My mother did a lot for me, but I could do whatever I wanted with her. I was a little better behaved with my father, since he was strict. Sometimes, though, I was able take advantage of him. For fun I take hisslippers and chew them.I say that training was in fact a great experience. I loved it for these reasons: You told me to do all these tricks, which I willingly did in the beginning because I was tempted by the yummy treats, but then I realized I actually like to show off. You taught me to shine! I enjoyed practicing walking with you and I am glad you told me parents that they HAD to do this every day. Good advice, walking is one of the most enjoyable things to me. I love getting the fresh air. You were very thorough and you did a lot to make sure my family knew how to prevent me from getting into trouble, because you know sometimes I am little impulsive. During early training there were moments when I did kind of feel bad for my parents, because while I was there laying on my back enjoying the glory, you were giving it to my parents for not being strict with me . ..ha ha ha. You know I call you General Ro...with you, I could not get away with little tricks I play on my family just for the heck of it, like making holes in socks, or ripping my toys until the foam comes out, luring them into giving me yummy human food.In conclusion, I had a top notch professional dog training experience thanks to you. Iappreciate it. I want to be a well behaved dog. It was very fun and enjoyable for me, and I am sure all the other dogs feel that way too. I hope you come when it is hot and you can watch me swim, and bring some treats for old time’s sake.Love,Hilly BillyWhite Plains, NY

Hudson 13It all started with a chance meeting at a local pet store where my wife and I had the pleasure to see Ro work her magic on our recently adopted five year old pit bull mix, Hudson. We were impressed with the way she interacted with him. How quickly Ro was able to read Hudson and begin training on the spot. Needless to say we asked Ro to be our trainer and never looked back. She not only worked well with Hudson but made him feel comfortable throughout the process. We can honestly say she has the confidence, humor, and patience to help guide first time owners and help them develop a better understanding and respectful relationship with their pet.Ro is an amazing trainer. We would recommend her services to anyone no matter their experience level.Ramon & EvelynBrooklyn, NY

Jack Daniels 14Ro was referred to us by our groomer. Our daughter had recently convinced us to get a dog, (our first) and he was proving to be a real handful– very cute, but a handful. With our daughter going off to college later in the year I realized his training and ongoing care was going to fall on me and I needed help.During our training Ro didn’t give up when something wasn’t working for us. She tried various different techniques until we found one that suited us best, and shared lots of tips to make all our lives easier. It was quite an adjustment having Jack in the family. With Ro’s help we were able to meet Jack’s needs without having to make huge changes, although getting up so early to walk him was a bit of a shock to begin with. Our little boy is maturing into a pleasant young man and we have to thank Ro for setting us out on the right track. We are very fortunate to be able to entrust Jack to Ro’s care when we travel in the summer. He comes home with his manners sharpened, a new trick in his repertoire and definitely a bit thinner. We call it Jack’s Summer Boot Camp!Ro has become an essential part of our lives. She is dependable, trustworthy and mostimportantly gives so much love to our Jack. She is not just Jack’s trainer but also his friend, and ours.Ivette, George & Maria B.Brooklyn, NY

Jacob 15We adopted Jacob thru Sean Casey Animal Rescue. Jacob was a 4 month old boxer puppy and we knew we needed training for him! Ro was recommended to us by our dog walker, Nelson and Vinny's Pet Shop.Ro's calm demeanor and teaching style worked great to help us train our new puppy. There were several times I reached out to her by phone as I was frustrated with Jacob's early puppy crazies. Ro was so patient gave me suggestions and MAJOR encouragement. She was so devoted with her time to me. Jacob took a liking to Ro right away and showed us how easy it can be to train our young dog, with a lot of patience and many treats! Ro not only gave her time with us one on one, but also sent us a weekly to-do-list and follow up notes from each session so that we could practice what we were taught. This helped us tremendously to reinforce what we learned. We highly recommend her!Ro is a super devoted dog trainer, and you can see it is her true passion to help people with their dogs.Melissa and AaronBrooklyn, NYPhotos of “Jacob” taken by and used with the permission of Nelson Delgado

Lexi 16Soon after Lexi joined our family, many family and friends would tell us, "Why did you get a dog at this stage in your life? After your children are grown, do you want to start all over again? Having a dog is just like having an infant. You are not going to have any freedom for yourselves."Those words couldn't be further from the truth. We are extremely grateful to Ro and her training program. Ro was referred to us when Lexi was 8 months old. A previous trainer, who employed a more aggressive, human dominant technique, was not successful. Lexi immediately bonded with her during her first visit. Thereafter, every time Ro entered our home, she was greeted by a very excited and welcoming dog.Under her care and guidance, Lexi has become a well-disciplined, quite independent, trusted and playful dog. Our dog walks are no longer dreadful, but a pleasure. You can rest assured that she employs the most current methods in effective training. Ro has taught us that training the family is just as important as training the dog. She spent just as much time with us as she had with Lexi. You can count on her to relax all your anxieties and answer all your questions. She is very accessible and goes above and beyond to satisfy you. Her love for and patience with Lexi (and us too) was very much appreciated. We are now enjoying our new addition to our family.Sincerely,Tina, Tony, Matthew and StephanieBrooklyn, NY

Lucy 17When we got Lucy neither of us had owned a dog since childhood. She is very sweet but is stubborn and did not walk on a leash well. We randomly met Ro Morrison when we went to get something for one of our other pets at a vet in Brooklyn and decided to try training out.Lucy is not perfect but she is much better and continues to improve thanks to all the training and tips Ro and Dori provided. But most importantly, within one day of class, Ro noticed that there was something off with Lucy and recommended a trip to the vet. Thanks to Ro, Lucy is a much healthier dog in addition to being better behaved.Veronica and JohnQueens, NY

Mickey 80We are first time dog owners, and had no idea what we were doing with our new dog Mickey, so we called on Ro for guidance. She is very friendly, very informative, and very helpful.Ro discovered that Mickey had already been through basic obedience training, so we were taught how to deliver the commands to her. We also learned how to identify basic dog behavior and body language. Thanks again, Ro!

moses 78From the first day Moses joined our family, we realized he was an incredibly smart and energetic dog. As was bound to happen, it became clear that without boundaries he could quickly become a nuisance, albeit a cute one.Ro was highly recommended to us by our dog groomer and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Ro is knowledgeable, kind, and generous and helped us put Moses on the track to become a polite and proper little pup. We have had great funwatching his progress and teaching him new tricks based off the foundation that Ro gave us.We couldn't thank Ro enough or recommend her highly enough.Sincerely,Tripp and Frankie-Terry (and Moses)Brooklyn, NY

Sandy 18Over a month ago, we had adopted a 3 month old beagle mix that we named Sandy. She is very sweet, lovable and intelligent but can be stubborn at times. It was a first for either of us to take on the responsibility of a puppy. Neither my boyfriend nor I knew what we were doing, so we definitely needed help!My sister who has a yellow lab/retriever had highly recommended Ro to help guide us in the right direction. I am incredibly grateful that she did. Ro was great in teaching us to be better owners for Sandy. She was able to point out a lot of things that we weren't understanding. It really IS about patience and consistency when it comes to dealing with a puppy. We looked forward to each session that we had with Ro and I can honestly say that we formed a great friendship out of it. I really do hope we can meet up again. She will be very much missed.Pamela and DannyBrooklyn, NY

shakti 81We have known Ro the Dog Trainer for the past six years, having seen her business card atVinny’s Pet Shop in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. in 2009. Our then puppy Shakti was still high-strungeven after medication, different leashes, and other professional trainers. From the moment Ro started working with the three of us, she was clear, firm, direct and effective. Shakti can now enjoy long walks without barking and frothing at the mouth! She can sit at home with us and communicate her needs calmly instead of frantically. Ro was also able to accommodate our work schedules, and, greatly assisted in Shakti’s proper grooming. We thought that the reason Shakti was barking so much was because she was over-stimulated. Our mistake was to walk her less and less to avoid confrontation in the outside world. Ro told us just the opposite. Shakti needed more stimulation, not less. Walking and running her more has proved to be extremely helpful. We were able to socialize her with other dogs, especially her canine neighbors!. She is much happier and so are we.We highly recommend Ro, especially for puppies.Sincerely,Felicia Gironda, Chana Benjamin and ShaktiBrooklyn, NY

Sophie 20Ro has been fantastic with my seven-year old Lab Rescue. Of all the trainers I have ever worked with, she is the most intuitive and most productive. She is respectful of Sophie, not a trait that many people (including trainers) have toward dogs. She is a kind person, and she knows her stuff! I would recommend her to anyone with any dog.Shirley G.Manhattan, NY

Zoe 23When we adopted Zoe from the October 2013 Love Wanted Pet Adoption, it quickly became clear to my Mother and I that we needed to enroll our pretty German Shepherd mix in an obedience course. Although she was very sweet, she was more active and mischievous than our older dog Esme (a Bichon Frise) had been as a puppy. Plus, by teaching Zoe her manners, we hoped to make Esme feel better about sharing her home—and her owners—with her newly adopted baby sister! Our vet, Dr. Brigandi of St. Francis Animal Hospital, recommended Ro to us, and much to our relief, the training helped to turn Zoe from a wild “land shark” to a well mannered puppy, who is now Esme’s BFF and partner in crime. Ro reassured my mother that Esme and Zoe would wind up getting along, and she was 100%! She also gave my mother, my boyfriend, and I great advice on how to channel Zoe’s puppy energy into fun games that also teach recall, the proper way to handle a mouthy pooch, and muchmore. Thanks to Ro’s course, not only do Zoe and Esme hang out and play together, but she’s not as wild as she was when we first brought her home. She listens, is improving her basic manners in leaps and bounds, and is shaping up to be an all-around great dog!Amanda K.Brooklyn, NY

Boo
When we adopted Boo we had recently lost our girl Lucy after she ran away while a family member was watching her. We also had a new baby in the home. The rescue told us that he was a year and a half old and had come from an abusive situation. We quickly learned that he was in fact nine months old and still had that puppy spirit. He also came with a lot of anxiety and had to be in constant physical contact with you, even when walking down the stairs.
We worked with Ro on proper playtime activities that could be done given our current lifestyle. She also helped to develop a system for going on long leisurely walks with Boo and the cumbersome baby carriage. Most importantly we wanted to be sure that he would come when called and wouldn’t run out the front door when it was opened. With lots of time and work he has learned to do both. Our work with Ro helped to alleviate some of our fears and helped Boo adjust to his forever family.

Our “family” lives in an apartment, so walking on a leash is a vital part of the day.....and with a Tibetan Terrier who believes in the Fleetwood Mac philosophy of “Go your Own Way,” a morning stroll became a major challenge.....until I called Ro!!!
From her instructions on the best leash, to her patience with us as we learned to negotiate in a new way, the experience was both positive and rewarding to both me and Keaton....who no longer believed that his name was “Keaton No”Lois C.

Ro has been invaluable over the past several years at helping me with my dogs. She has a ton of insight and passion about the work that she does, and such a deep love and understanding of animals. She is also very fun and is good at giving clear, direct suggestions to make life with your dogs as fulfilling as it can be.
She has so much practical knowledge and so many innovative ideas (puzzles for bored dogs, special books on how to bond with your new senior, food/behavior issues, you name it) and you can speak to her about anything and know that you will get an honest, non-judgmental response.
Recently when it came time to make a difficult decision regarding whether to transition one of my dogs, Ro was able to talk me through some ways to process the different options with my partner. I truly feel that with her guidance on how to approach it all we were able to make the best decision for our dog with the best timing. This kind of support and generosity is part of what makes Ro so special.
I can’t recommend her enough, and your pups will thank you because she will help you to make their lives richer and your life easier! I’m so happy that she is in my life.

Charlie
I worked with Ro after I adopted my dog Charlie. This was my first experience as a dog owner, and I needed a great deal of guidance.
Ro was gentle, patient, and full of wisdom. She was very perceptive and immediately pointed out parts of Charlie’s personality that I needed to be able to read (e.g. when she’s nervous).
Ro helped me build Charlie’s confidence by teaching her new tricks and games. As a teacher myself, I appreciated Ro’s approach. She would model different tactics, and then have me practice them with her help.
I highly recommend Ro and Proper Littl Pups to anyone looking for support with their dog.Sara H.

Tootie
We adopted Tootie, a sweet Australian kelpie / dachshund mix. Tootie was very shy and timid when we first rescued her. She came from South Carolina and was rescued from a hoarding situation. NYC was a drastic change for her to say the least. Tootie struggled with separation anxiety when we left her alone, and she was afraid of almost everything out on the street.
After a few months of trying our best to care for her and deal with her anxieties, we knew it was time to seek help. This was by far one of the best decisions we made since adopting Tootie. Ro was highly recommended to us on Facebook. Ro came into our home and immediately got to work with helping us work with Tootie and getting her more accustomed to living here in nyc.
Ro taught us that every dog is inherently a good dog. She provided us with the tools we needed to get Tootie to live comfortably with us and in her environment. Through lots of hard work on our part and also positive reinforcement techniques we were able to train Tootie to get her to a much better spot from when we first adopted her. Tootie has now grown with us, and her fantastic personality has come out tremendously.
We could not have done any of this without the help and guidance of Ro. What a wonderful, respectful trainer to work with. Ro truly understands dogs and how to work with owners so both can live together harmoniously. We highly recommend her for any of your pup needs.

Maple
I cannot say enough great things about Ro. To provide some backstory, I adopted my dog, Maple, right after she had her leg amputated. Having been shot by her previous owner, Maple had some trust issues. She is also stubborn, but with Ro's help Maple became a manageable, well-trained, and happy dog.
Hiring Ro changed my life and my relationship with my dog. The strategies that Ro teaches and the tools that she recommends were all pivotal in shaping Maple and creating a healthy, happy pet household.
Ro is also committed to supporting families and their pets even after training sessions. She is always a phone call or text message away.
In sum, if you need a dog trainer, hire Ro and do everything she says to do because it works. Ro knows her stuff.
