Here at Proper Littl’ Pups we firmly believe that every dog is inherently a good dog. We see our mission as providing the tools for both you and your dog to function together harmoniously in our human world.

As much as we love our canine companions as children, they are dogs and without us teaching them, they have no clue how to live within the family as a polite and well-mannered member. We don’t want to change who they are, but we do need to let them know the rules of the household and where they fit in. It is also important that us humans learn to read the signals our dog is giving us, so their needs are met without stress on either side. We all need to know that we matter and belong – Your pup is no different!

Proper Littl’ Pups goal is to teach positive reinforcement techniques that allow everyone to live together comfortably. Our aim is to correct worrisome issues or simply minimize the stress and frustration of the dreaded puppy crazies!

These techniques do not work overnight. While we go to great lengths to make sure everything is thoroughly demonstrated and understood during our sessions together, the real work happens between you and your dog when you are alone. Consistency is the key and frequent practice is how these behaviors are solidly learned. This can only be done by you at home. We will, of course, be there to support you and answer your questions throughout the training process.
